Take me out to the Ballgame...again

For Father's Day we went to a Cincinnati Reds game and sat behind home plate with great seats! The girls did really well despite the Reds no hit loss. Our family picture turned out well too even after an hour of sitting in the rain! On our way back to the car on the ferry we had several people compliment us on bringing the girls to the game and they were even more surprised when we told them we had twins coming. It's fun to see the look on people's faces as they say "You'll have your hands full". I now respond with "Hopefully we can get a t.v. show out of it".

S'mores!

On Friday night we had a little bonfire outside so Maddie could taste smores. It was a little warm being 90 degrees out but Matt stayed outside with Maddie while I was able to come in and out of the air conditioning (pregnancy is a great excuse for almost anything!). Maddie loves to play with sticks so finding the perfect marshmallow roasting stick was lots of fun for her. Kalee was asleep by the time we got the fire started so she ate her marshmallow the next day.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the best wrestler, candy sharer and fishing buddy.

Sweet Sisters

Maddie and Kalee's new thing is to hug each other or hold hands when they walk somewhere. It is the sweetest thing I have ever seen and I tried to capture these photos when they were looking for the bird who keeps dive bombing our back door. Maddie is also practicing to hold the new babies by having Kalee sit on her lap who tolerates this suprisingly well. It's so sweet to see these girls play well together and I hope they will continue to stay close to each other. We'll see how they get along when they share a room in their teenage years :) I may have to pull these pictures out to remind them.

28 weeks

I thought it would be nice to get a picture in my new Old Navy swimming suit for my 28 weeks picture. This is the last maternity suit I will own!! It was nice to be able to get in the water down at Lake Cumberland when the 90 degree weather got to be too much. It was a little cold at first but I think the twins enjoyed a break from the heat!

Overall, I'm feeling really well and have some nesting behaviors as of late. I'm trying to organize every room in the house before these bouncing bundles of joy arrive. We bought a second crib off of Craig's list and will be moving Kalee into her sister's room this weekend. I'll post pictures of the girls and baby room after they are completed. It's bittersweet that I only have 8 more weeks to go since we scheduled the c-section for August 3rd. I'm ready to meet C&C but also enjoying my time with just 2 kids before it doubles!

Houseboat Trip

We had a great time on the Houseboat on Memorial Day weekend despite Matt getting sick and the girls not feeling well. They did sleep really well (after we moved them to Yaya and Poppy's room) and had fun playing with the water on the back deck. Kara and her boyfriend Jonathan and Kelsey and Tim even made the trip so I had lots of babysitting help. We tied up in a cove with a wonderful waterfall and enjoyed lots of fun in the sun! The girls especially loved watermelon which Maddie wiped off with her napkin because it was "too wet". This was our last weekend on the houseboat since my Mom and Dad bought a lake house but we stopped by to see it on the way out and the playground, pool and backyard are definitely going to be fun for four little ones!
