Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We enjoyed St. Patrick's Day at the park with the girls' cousin Will who is 6 months. Enjoy the pictures!

Boys? Girls? 1 of each?

On Tuesday, we had an ultrasound appointment to determine the gender of the babies. Well, I think it was to make sure they are healthy but Matt and I were so excited to find out if we would have all girls, girls and a boy or half girls, half boys in our family. I really wanted a boy because I knew how much Matt wanted one. The ultrasound technician looked at "Baby A" first and determined that was a girl. We were happy that she was healthy but anxious to see what the other baby was. Then the tech stated that she was pretty sure they were identical twins because she could only see 1 placenta. We were very suprised, but as she moved on to "Baby B" she turned to Matt and said "Well, Dad there's your boy!". The little guy saved it for the end but we definitely have 1 girl and 1 boy and both healthy which we couldn't be happier about. I had made cards that said Boys, Girls or 1 of each and then took a picture of the corresponding card and sent to everyone via text message. We took pictures after the 2 hour ultrasound so Matt claims the reason he doesn't look so good is that he was so tired from all of that. I was very excited as you can tell because I am done having babies...but enjoying every minute of this pregnancy :)

16 weeks

I can't believe it's been 4 months already! I'm definitely showing but still feeling really well besides an occasional headache. All the maternity clothes are out now and I prefer to spend my time in sweatpants when I'm not at work.

Out of State Field Trip!

Last weekend Ya Ya took me and the girls to Indianapolis to visit Kara and Jonathan. We went to "Bouncy Bounce Land' as Jonathan refers to it which just happens to be down the street from where Kara lives. It was an indoor play area with lots of inflatable slides, bounce areas and mazes called Monkey Joes. It took a while for Maddie to get used to the slide but after a while she was going up and down by herself and even made Jonathan take her on some of the bigger slides!

Kalee was excited from the beginning and kept crawling all around the small toddler bounce area.

By the end of our time there, Maddie was attacking giraffes in the playland while Kalee encouraged her from the sidelines.
The girls had a blast and can't wait to go back to Indianapolis!

Daddy and his girls

It's nice when Mommy gets a break and the girls hang out with Daddy in the evenings. He usually has some candy for them too which makes it even sweeter. The girls are modeling their outfits from Grammy and Bob from Florida. Their hair-dos are courtesy of bath time.

Playdates

We had  a playdate with Connor, Jill's son on a Wednesday last month. It was fun to notice the difference between boys and girls (throwing toys vs. putting them on the ground). We played at the house before we went for a nutritious lunch at Penn Station where all the kids were a big fan of ketchup of all things. It's so nice we have Connor and Jill that live close!
